I’ve pretty much finished porting my water and the rest of my scene over to UE4. Translucency is a bit odd, as specularity doesn’t work but you still get reflections that are controlled by roughness/metallic. Its also about twice as expensive as the opaque version, at 14 texture samples vs 7. I’m not sure why at this point but it looks pretty so its whatever… Gotta get the rest of my scene up to speed – Its mostly lacking in terms of particles and post-FX compared to the UDK version.
